Subglottic stenosis a present day pathology


, : Subglottic stenosis a present day pathology. Revista Medica del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social 27(4): 273-275

The acquired subglottic stenosis following endotracheal intubation is a pathological entity which is beginning to be observed with an alarming frequency even with all the technology available. The real risk factors in the pathogenesis of this complication are presented. A few measures which could considerably reduce this pathology are proposed.
