Sole elemental sulphur (400 kg/fed.) increased significantly seeds yield of soybean plants grown in the Experimental Farm of the N. R. C. during the two successive seasons of the 1986 and 1987. More or less the same increase in seed yield was achieved by single biofertilization with either phosphate dissolving bacteria (PDB) or sulphur oxidation bacteria (SOP). The highest seeds yield was obtained from plants receiving elemental ridge widths and also with different intercropping patterns sulphur with both PDB and SOB. Soybean seeds harvested from plots receiving either chemo (sulphur) or bio-additives (PDB and SOB) had higher contents of oil, protein and carbohydrates as well as nutrients elements, i.e. macro-nutrients (N, P, K and Ca) and micronutrients (Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu). It is constituted that combined effect of chemo- and bio-additives is recommended. Although single elemental sulphur application raised seed quality slightly more than PDB did, the latter is recommended as far as the economic affairs are considered.
