General pharmacological properties of Chinese herbal medicines, Ren-shen-yang-rong-tang (Japanese name Ninjin-yoei-to (NIN)) and Shi-quan-da-bu-tang (Japanese name: Juzentaiho-to (JUZ) ), were investigated in connection with the central nervous system, the respiratory-cardiovascular system, the autonomic nervous system, the peripheral nervous system and paw edema induced by carrageenin, and the following results were obtained.
