House and barn spiders (Araneae) of a rural dwelling area close to Kiel (Schleswig-Holstein)

, : House and barn spiders (Araneae) of a rural dwelling area close to Kiel (Schleswig-Holstein). Faunistisch Oekologische Mitteilungen 7(5-6): 173-195

In 1995 and the beginning of 1996 the spider fauna (Araneae) of a rural dwelling area about 10 kilometers south of Kiel was analysed. The living accommodations, different barns within and outside the main building, a hall that leads to the barns, and a loft were investigated. Together with some registrations of spiders from other dwelling areas in and around Kiel 72 species were found. During September all investigated areas showed the highest population densities.
