Morphofunctional estimation of post-radiation changes in testis of animals exposed to long-term radiation with 1.0 Gy dose in utero period of development

, : Morphofunctional estimation of post-radiation changes in testis of animals exposed to long-term radiation with 1.0 Gy dose in utero period of development. Vyestsi Akademii Navuk Byelarusi Syeryya Biyalahichnykh Navuk 0(3): 70-74

The experiment with long-term in utero irradiation of rats with 1.0 Gy dose has revealed that under these conditions the arrest of testis development takes place, with discorrelation and disorganization of spermatogonial epithelium, desquamation of the cell elements into seminiferous tubules being observed. An increase (more than 20-fold) in the occurrence frequency of chromosome aberrations - reciprocal translocations in spermatogonia was typical.
