Primary electron-microscopic observation of Plyergar's action on in vitro cultivation of human cancer cell

, : Primary electron-microscopic observation of Plyergar's action on in vitro cultivation of human cancer cell. Zhongguo Zhongliu Linchuang 22(3): 157-160

This experiment is an observation of Polyergar's action on the ultrastructure of liver cancer and colon cancer cell under electron-microscopy. The results showed that the cancer cells in the treatment group didn't show obvious ultrastructure damage except that the cells were more dispersed, the villi on the cell surface decreased, cytoplasm shrinked, vacuole increased in number, glycogen aggregated to form a dot-like shape, degenerated and necrotic cell increased, and presence of cellular degeneration appeared. This suggests that Polyergar can inhibit the growth of cancer cell probably through inhibiting the glycolysis of the cancer cell which in turn influenced the cell energy metabolism.
