Radioprotective properties of 2-(aminoalkyl)-5-aryltetrazoles

, : Radioprotective properties of 2-(aminoalkyl)-5-aryltetrazoles. Khimiko Farmatsevticheskii Zhurnal 27(3): 33-36

The toxic and radioprotective properties of 2-amino-alkyl-5-aryl-tetrazoles and their salts (hydrochlorides, phosphates, p-oxybenzoates, 27 compounds) were investigated. 2-Aminoalkyl-5-aryl-tetrazoles were obtained via alkylation of substituted 5-aryl-tetrazoles with haloalkylamines. The toxicity of all compounds (LD-50) ranged from 191 to 800 mg/kg. Nine compounds had 40-80% radioprotective effects at LC-95-99/30. The directed synthesis of tetrazole derivatives and the fact that some of them had radiomodifying properties allowed the authors to follow their structure-activity relationship.
