The analysis of non-traumatic recraniotomies

, : The analysis of non-traumatic recraniotomies. Journal of China Medical University 24(1): 58-60

We report a retrospective analysis of 31 non-traumatic recraniotomies exclusive of recurrent glioma and primary intracranial diseases with complications. Hematoma in the field of operation and encephalomalacia were the major causes of recraniotomy, while hematoma in distal parts was another causative agent. Factors inducing hematoma and encephalomalacia and the preventive measures are discussed in detail.
