The tunnel structure and the home range of the fossorial rodent Ctenomys minutus Nehring, 1887, have been studied for a 23 months period, at Tramandai, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. C. minutus is a solitary species, and the distribution of the tunnels is associated with the type of soil and vegetation, with no preferential direction for tunnel openings.
