A good thing comes to Mount Vernon

, : A good thing comes to Mount Vernon. American Forests 107(4 Winter 2002

American Forests Historic Tree Nursery expert Jeff Meyer joined Martha Stewart at Mount Vernon this fall to film a segment for both Martha Stewart Living and Meyer's upcoming PBS series, Tree Stories. During filming for Stewart's popular show, Meyer was invited to be part of a program to be aired during the November sweeps month. They ascended about 60 feet in a bucket truck to collect seeds from the historic tulip poplar planed by George Washington. Later, Meyer demonstrated how viewers can collect seeds and grow their own tree seedlings.
