Efeito da Ribavirina na replicacao do virus da peste suina africana

, : Efeito da Ribavirina na replicacao do virus da peste suina africana. Revista Portuguesa de Ciencias Veterinarias 97(540): 183-189

The effect of different concentrations of Ribavirin was studied in CV1 cells infected with African swine fever virus. Ribavirin inhibits the infectivity of ASFV at a concentration of 15 mug/ml, that is not toxic for the host cells. Incorporation studies of radioactive tymidine, uridine and methionine in infected and drug treated cells indicate that the viral RNA and protein synthesis are inhibited, but viral DNA is made in the same extend.
