This experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of sex (malesXfemales) and four slaughter weights (28, 32, 36 and 40 kg), on carcass morphometry, cuts weights, tissues and offals percentages, from crossbred lambs Ile de FranceXCorriedale, finished in feedlot. Fourty lambs (20 males and 20 females), were weaned at 60 days of age and were full fed a diet with 16.46% CP and 67.63% TDN.

None of the 44 potato cvs. tested in the field and lab. proved immune from Leveillula taurica b...

Investigation of the molecular basis of megakaryocyte (MK) and platelet biology has been limited by an inadequate source of genetically manipulable cells exhibiting physiologic MK and platelet functions. We hypothesized that ex vivo cultured MKs w...

The proximal region of the angiotensin II receptor (AT1A) carboxyl-terminus (known as helix VIII) is important for receptor function. In this study, we used surface plasmon resonance (SPR) to examine the interaction of helix VIII-derived peptides...

Here, we investigated ion-transporting processes in tissues from the corals Acropora yongei and Stylo...
