Effects of methyl-chlorophenylpiperazine (m-CPP) on isolation-induced aggression in male mice

, : Effects of methyl-chlorophenylpiperazine (m-CPP) on isolation-induced aggression in male mice. Medical Science Research 27(10): 661-662

We have examined the effects of m-chlorophenylpiperazine (m-CPP; 0.5 and 0.75 mg/kg i.p.), a compound that shows a high affinity for 5HT2A/C receptors, on isolation-induced aggression in male mice, using an ethopharmacological procedure. 10 minutes of diadic interactions were staged between a singly housed and an anosmic mouse in a neutral area. These encounters were video-taped, allowing us to estimate the accumulated time which subjects allocated to 10 broad behavioural categories.
