Hydropsyche specimens originating from Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Pahang, Perak, Sabah, Brunei, Sumatra, Nias, Jawa, Bali, Sulawesi, Halmahera, New Guinea, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Myamnar, Nepal, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Arunchal Pradesh, Kashmir, Ladakh, Luzon, Palawan, Sibuyan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Usbekistan, Kirgisistan, Iran, Taiwan, Zhejiang, Gansu, Henan, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Sichuan and Hong Kong are revised. 55 new species are described and figured; several known species are figured. H. malickyi Mey 1998 is synonymised with H. saranganica Ulmer 1951. Faunistical notes are given. Additions are given to the survey of caddisflies of Thailand (Malicky and Chantaramongkol 1999) and to the altitudinal distribution of caddisflies on Doi Inthanon (Malicky and Chantaramongkol 1993).
