The rates of late complications of diabetes mellitus in hospitalized patients

, : The rates of late complications of diabetes mellitus in hospitalized patients. Uzbekiston Tibbiet Zhurnali (5-6): 106-108

The rates of late complications of diabetes mellitus have been studied in hospitalized patients. Diabetic nephropathy accounted for 25.0%, the number of non-diagnosed cases 22.4%; diabetic retinopathy - non-proliferative stage 39.0%, pre-proliferative 4.6% and proliferative 1.4%; diabetic angiopathy - 57.2% in type 2 diabetes, 42.7% in type 1 diabetes; diabetic neuropathy 72.3% and 74.9% in types 1 and 2 diabetes respectively. To reduce the rate of late complications of diabetes mellitus special attention should be given to compensation of the disease.
