Unfangioleiomiomatosis pulmonar en una mujer postmenopausica con carcinoma de mama

, : Unfangioleiomiomatosis pulmonar en una mujer postmenopausica con carcinoma de mama. Oncologia (Madrid) 24(4): 55-59

Purpose: Pulmonary lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare, diffuse infiltrative disease of the lung with unknown etiology, that almost exclusively affects women of childbearing age. It is uncommon in asymptomatic patients and even more in the postmenopausal age. Material and methods: We report the case of an asymptomatic 59-year-old woman who was diagnosed of LAM by the casual finding of multiple pulmonary cysts in a high-resolution thorax scan.
