Electrouterography is a method of investigating burst potential from the myometrium. In the case of sheep the majority of the myoelectrical activity in the myometrum is recorded during estrus. Other periods of the estrus cycle are characterized by less myoelectrical activity or its complete absence. There are 3 different periods of myoelectrical activity during pregnancy. The first lasts from the 3rd to 41st day of pregnancy when the pregnant horn has a diminished myoelectrical activity.
