, : Comparison of 5% saline and 20% ethanol in LASEK. Rinsho Ganka 59(9): 1481-1487

We performed LASEK refractive surgery on 14 eyes. Epithelial flap was made using 5% saline in 7 eyes and 20% ethanol in 7 eyes. There was no intraoperative complication in either group. During 3 months after surgery, there was no difference between the two groups regarding : pain, corneal infiltration, visual acuity with or without correction, refractive error, regression, corneal thickness, or haze.
