Fiber molecular model of atelocollagen-small interfering RNA (siRNA) complex

, : Fiber molecular model of atelocollagen-small interfering RNA (siRNA) complex. International Journal of Biological Macromolecules 37(5): 283-286

Previously we represented molecular model of collagen triple helix-DNA double helix complex [G.M. Mrevlishvili, D.V. Svintradze, Int. J. Macromol. 36 (2005) 324-326; G.M. Mrevlishvili, D.V. Svintradze, Int. J. Macromol. 35 (2005) 243-245]. We also proved that during the complex formation hydration of triple helix destroys and forms new water bridges maintaining the complex nano-structure. In this paper we demonstrate that small interfering RNA binds to atelocollagen directly to form siRNA-atelocollagen fiber complex. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
