The human thyrotropin receptor is predominantly internalized by beta-arrestin 2

, : The human thyrotropin receptor is predominantly internalized by beta-arrestin 2. Endocrinology 147(6): 3114-3122

The beta-arrestin-dependent endocytosis of the beta(2)-adrenergic receptor (beta(2)AR) has been demonstrated by confocal fluorescence microscopy. Furthermore, a constitutively activated beta(2)AR is also constitutively desensitized and down-regulated.
