The impact of aging, sex and smoking on the concentration of lead and manganese in human blood

, : The impact of aging, sex and smoking on the concentration of lead and manganese in human blood. Toksikologicheskii Vestnik (1): 21-27

It was established that lead and manganese concentrations in St. Petersburg inhabitants at the age of 10 to 90 regularly increased with aging, while the lead concentration being higher than that of manganese. Sex differences were revealed in the duration of ecotoxicants cumulation in blood: cumulated lead in males' blood with aging was greater than that in females; as to manganese, sex differences were insignificant.
