Callus induction and bud formation of Eucalyptus smithii L

, : Callus induction and bud formation of Eucalyptus smithii L. Journal of Northeast Forestry University 34(4): 18-21

The callus of Eucalyptus smithii L. was induced to form using the 1st to 7th nodes of shoot tip germinated from old stems as explants, 0.2% HgCl2 disinfecting for two to three minutes, 1/2MS+2,4-D1.5 mg.L-1+KT1.5 mg.L-1 or 1/2MS+2,4-D1.5 mg.L-1+ZET1.5 mg.L-1 as culture media. The callus from stem was induced to form adventitious buds when using 1/2MS+6-BA2.0 mg.L-1+NAA0.2 mg.L-1 as culture medium. Although the inducement rate is low, the coefficient of reproduction is high.
