Chemical composition, in vitro dry matter digestibility and forage mass of elephant grass cv. Napier pasture managed in a rotational grazing system

, : Chemical composition, in vitro dry matter digestibility and forage mass of elephant grass cv. Napier pasture managed in a rotational grazing system. Revista Brasileira de Zootecnia 35(3): 863-869

This study conducted to determine the chemical composition, in vitro dry matter digestibility and dry matter mass of elephant grass pasture Napier. Estimates of forage mass were accomplished monthly according to hand plucking technique with samples being taken one day before the cows were turned into the paddocks. Forage samples were taken by observing the stubble height of the pasture in the former grazing cycle.
