Effect of Fructus Psoraleae on motility of gallbladder isolated smooth muscle strips from guinea pigs

, : Effect of Fructus Psoraleae on motility of gallbladder isolated smooth muscle strips from guinea pigs. World Journal of Gastroenterology 12(32): 5214-5218

A study was conducted to observe the effect of Fructus Psoraleae (dry fruit of Psoralea corylifolia) on motility of isolated gall bladder muscle strips of guinea pigs and its mechanism. Guinea pigs were hit to lose consciousness and the whole gall bladder was removed quickly. Two or three smooth muscle strips (8x3 mm) were cut along a longitudinal direction. The mucosa was gently removed.
