Estimation of genetic parameters for productive and reproductive traits in pigs

, : Estimation of genetic parameters for productive and reproductive traits in pigs. Proceedings of the 8th World Congress on Genetics Applied to Livestock Production, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, 13-18 August, 2006: 06-48

The objectives of our study are to estimate genetic parameters for productive traits and reproductive traits under the multivariate animal model. Data related to productive and reproductive traits were obtained from 2121 sows having first parity at a breeding farm from 1998 to 2004.
