Population dynamics and chemical control of sugarcane white woolly aphid Ceratovacuna lanigera Zehntner

, : Population dynamics and chemical control of sugarcane white woolly aphid Ceratovacuna lanigera Zehntner. Indian Journal of Entomology 66(4): 297-300

Studies were conducted in Maharashtra, India during 2003-04 to investigate the population dynamics and efficacy of different insecticides against sugarcane white woolly aphid (Ceratovacuna lanigera) on sugarcane. The highest population of aphids (80.1 per square inch leaf) was observed in the 50th meteorological week. Three predators, Conobathra aphidivora syrphid fly and Micromus timedes fed on white woolly aphids.
