Hypoplasy of tail muscle fibres in a Madagascarian day gecko (Phelsuma madagascariensis kochi). Case report

, : Hypoplasy of tail muscle fibres in a Madagascarian day gecko (Phelsuma madagascariensis kochi). Case report. Magyar Allatorvosok Lapja 129(4): 245-247

Hypoplasy of the tail musculature was detected in a Madagascarian day gecko (Phelsuma madagascariensis kochi) while studying the background of abnormal tail posture, which was a well-known phenomenon to lizard keepers (Hungary, date not given). At the tail base of the investigated specimen, the connective tissue fibres between the skin and tail musculature were normally developed and had normal structure.
