, : An Attempt to Transmit Anaplasmosis by Biting Flies. J. Amer. vet. med. Ass, 89: 169-175

Three short experiments were conducted in Louisiana by the authors. Fly-proof quarters in the animal pathology building were acquired and three animals were used in each of three experiments, using as vectors Tabanus atratus, Haemotobia irritans and Tabanus fuscicostatus respectively. All nine animals were kept under observation for 80 to 100 days and failed to develop the disease, although one preliminary test with T. atratus proved positive in 25 days.
