Anthelmintie value of phenothiazine for animals (preliminary paper)

, : Anthelmintie value of phenothiazine for animals (preliminary paper). Dtsch. tierarztl. Wschr./Tierarztl. Rdsch, 51/49: 279-280

In a preliminary experiment a pony was given 8 g. phenothiazine by stomach tube and a horse 30 g. in the food; subsequently 47 horses varying in age from 5-23 years were given 30 g. each in the morning feed. As a result of egg counts and differential larval counts carried out before treatment and 7-30 days after treatment, it was concluded that phenothiazine was almost 100% effective against small strongyles and 80-96% effective against large strongyles.
