SOME 30 different body measurements were taken of 160 animals of both sexes and different ages. The actual figures for each animal are presented in tables on pp. 113-127. Various external characters, e.g. profile of head and back, type, colour, and stage of shedding of coat, were also recorded. The mean height of animals over 2 yrs. was 92.32 +or- 0.58 cm. for and 97.04 +or- 0.52 cm. for, and mean body length, 92.24 +or- 0.59 cm. and 102.08 +or- 0.55 cm.
