Experiments on the induction of heat in the ewe

, : Experiments on the induction of heat in the ewe. Campo exp. Fom. ganad. Min. Ganad. Agric. Uruguay. Lab. realiz. 40. 1941. 157-165

INJECTIONS of 125 units of prolan were given to 4 maiden and 4 adult ewes about a week after oestrus, but the intervals between 1st and 2nd heat differed little from those of the controls. The length of dioestrus differed between the maiden and adult ewes-the averages being 49 and 16 days resp. in the injected animals, and 54.6 and 15.5 days in the controls.
