Life History of the Apple Curculio

, : Life History of the Apple Curculio. Rep. Iowa Hort. Soc, Des Moines, Iowa, 60: 36-42

An account is given of the apple curculio as occurring in Iowa, where, frequently accompanied by the plum curculio, it causes very heavy losses to the apple crop. A lead arsenate spray applied just as the adults appear and before oviposition has begun would be very effective, but it is difficult to time the spray correctly.
