Malaria in Dalmatia and Herzegovina

, : Malaria in Dalmatia and Herzegovina. Ann. d'Igiene. Rome, 35: 1, 94-95

In 1922 the Ministry of Public Health for Jugo-Slavia established at Troguir an institute for the study and prevention of malaria and also anti-malarial stations at Spalato and Metkovitch. The disease is general and severe. The sole Anopheline that seems responsible is Anopheles maculipennis. A. ehitus and A. algeriensis, also abound, but the majority of these live in animal quarters.
