An account of viticultural breeding work done by the Nikitsky Experimental Botanical Garden since 1927. The chief varieties grown on the state farms are: Cabernet, Sauvignon, Semillon, Kakour blanc, Saperavi, Furmint, Muscat blanc, Riesling and Aligote. Investigation shows the stands of these and other varieties to be very mixed and several different types have already been segregated.
