The article is based on personal impressions gained during a brief study of the CiskeiTranskei area. The whole of the simple ret adequate diet of the past is undergoing changes which cannot be regarded.as satisfactory from the nutritional standpoint. In particular, a decrease in milk production must be regarded as dangerous.
