Observations on phloem necrosis of Elm in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois

, : Observations on phloem necrosis of Elm in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Plant Dis. Reptr. 28: 35, 1056-1057

After stating that phloem necrosis has caused extensive dying of elms in scattered parts of the State of Missouri, particularly in St. Louis and Kansas City, where the American elm and its varieties are extensively planted for shade purposes, the author points out that as the disease is new to Missouri, it is difficult to predict what course it will take.
