Pay Attention to the Apple Leaf Skeletoniser

, : Pay Attention to the Apple Leaf Skeletoniser. Kranke Pflanze. Dresden, 11: 4-5, 51-52

In the summer of 1932, Hemerophila (Simaethis) pariana, Clerck, defoliated apple trees in Saxony, where such an outbreak had not occurred before. The injury in many orchards resulted in the destruction of the crop. There are two generations a year; the larvae appear in June and August, and the second-generation adults hibernate.
