The fumigation carried out in 1933 against Tortilia viatrix, Busck, in dry senna leaves stored in New Jersey reduced the infestation considerably, but the pest was still present in August 1934. The senna was stored in bags and the amount involved was considerable (about 645, 000 lb.).
