This report contains the following items of interest. J. J. Taubenhaus and G. M. Watkins succeeded in practically inhibiting the growth of Phymatotrichum ommvorum on cotton by mixing samples of Miller clay loam, Yahola very fine sand, and Houston black clay soils with 2.5 per cent. of crude petroleum by weight. G. E. Altstatt reports that a very low percentage of over 10, 000 seeds from wilt-infected tomato plants germinated when plated and none of them produced colonies of Fusarium lycopermi.
