, : Poisoning by Mimosa invisa Mart - Buffaloes. Ned. -ind. Bl. Diergeneesk, 46: 151-160

The author was called upon to investigate sudden illness amongst buffaloes. Two animals were found dead and four others were suffering extreme pain and were killed. Post-mortem examination revealed haemorrhages in various organs, but bacteriological examinations were negative and poisoning was suspected. The only suspected plant available was Mimosa invisa Mart, which is used as green manure on rubber plantations and which was thought to be harmless to livestock.
