Advice is given on the cultivation of several fast-growing forage plants which soon leave the field free for another crop. Suggestions include the growing of a " summer form " of the well-known Landsberg mixture, from which the usual component vetch is omitted and 20 kg. Lolium italicum or Western Wolths ryegrass are grown with 20 kg. Trifolium incarnatum.
