Previous authors have claimed successful results in the diagnosis of liver fluke infestation by intradermal inoculation of an antigen prepared by extracting the flukes with ether, or chloroform, or by rubbing a powder made from the dried and pulverized flukes into scarifications in the skin of the suspected host.
