The optimum breeding age in dairy cows

, : The optimum breeding age in dairy cows. C. R. Acad. Agric. Fr, 21: 1175-1176

THE short summary of the authors' results is given as follows. The body weight of calves produced at the 1st and 2nd calving is usually low; as a rule the maximum weight is not attained until the 4th calving and it remains stable until the 9th, but decreases considerably thereafter.
