This is a handy summary of the history and activities of the Office Internationale des Epizooties, situated at Paris. This institution was set up as a result of a conference to discuss the international control of animal diseases, which was convened in 1920 by the French government and thrown open to all countries. Twenty-eight countries agreed in 1921 to found jointly and to support the new " office " and up to 1939, 19 further states had joined.
