Treatment of the Canine Heartworm (Dirofllaria immitis) with Fuadin and Sulfanilamide


, : Treatment of the Canine Heartworm (Dirofllaria immitis) with Fuadin and Sulfanilamide. J. Amer. vet. med. Ass, 58: 477-481

Dogs infested with D. immitis were treated by fuadin or by sulphanilamide, or by a combination of the two drugs. The best results were obtained in six dogs which received, over a period of ten days, 4-5 g. per kg. body weight of sulphanilamide daily in two doses per os and 1-2 c.c. of fuadin each day intramuscularly.
