Zebu (Brahman) cross cattle and their possibilities in North Australia

, : Zebu (Brahman) cross cattle and their possibilities in North Australia. Progr. Rep. Coun. sci. industr. Res, Aust., 3, 30

THE report covers the two years' period between October 1936 and August 1938. Several British breeds, including Shorthorn, Hereford, Red Poll, Devon, Jersey, and Aberdeen Angus, have been used and some 1193 hybrids of different proportions of zebu blood were under observation. In the hybrid the coat is usually brindled to some extent and this character is most pronounced in Hereford crosses.
