Contribution to the Ecology of Tabanids in the Province of Voronezh.

, : Contribution to the Ecology of Tabanids in the Province of Voronezh.. Zool. Zh. Moscow, 28: pt. 2, 145-156

The results are given of studies in 1938, 1939 and 1946 on the seasonal occurrence and abundance of Tabanids in the province of Voronezh, where 28 species were found, and on the effect of meteorological factors on their flight. They were most abundant in woodland that was sometimes flooded and in forest where there were small swamps or marshy glades or where the level of ground water was high.
