Cost of aluminium strip for capping milk bottles

, : Cost of aluminium strip for capping milk bottles. Kieler Milchwirtschaft. ForschBerichte. 4: 3, 289-306

From data supplied by 12 milk plants, it is concluded that the cost of capping bottles with aluminium strip was affected less by the price than by the efficiency of utilization. When the stamping and capping machines were adequately supervised, the strip could be as little as 0.06 mm. thick and caps stamped less than 1 mm. apart. Wastage due to faulty stamping should be <0.5 per cent.
