, : Feeding green lupin (to cows). Sovetsk. Zootekhn, 6: 10, 61-69

The value of yellow lupin (white seed variety with low alkaloid content) was investigated in this trial extending over 56 days. In addition to pasture and concentrates, the experimental group of 12 cows was fed a supplement of 57 kg. lupin per head daily, whilst 12 controls received an equal quantity of green vetch-oat roughage. The total nutritive value of all supplements was approximately the same for both groups.
