In 1950 experiments were carried out at the state farm " Fedorovsk" of the Leningrad Meat Combine in cooperation with the Zdanov Laboratory of Animal Genetics of Leningrad University and the Pushkin Animal Breeding Laboratory. Large White sows (125) were mated with 1 L. W., 1 Berkshire or 1 Landrace boar, or with 2 L. W., 1 Berkshire and 1 L. W., or 1 Berkshire and 1 Landrace boars, the interval between the 2 services being 5-10 rnins.
